Environmental Risk Limited established its Aquatic Toxicity Laboratory in 1988 to perform aquatic toxicity testing for a broad spectrum of businesses and municipalities with an interest in quality bioassay testing of wastewater samples. We provide these services for:
- Analytical Laboratories

- Industrial Wastewater Dischargers
- Municipal and Private POTWs
- WWTP Operating Companies
The ERL laboratory is certified, approved, or recognized for performing bioassays in all six of the New England states as well as up and down the east coast. Our laboratory is widely known and is well regarded by state environmental regulatory agencies and the U.S. EPA.
Because ERL's personnel are experienced and well-versed in regulatory matters, permit negotiations, wastewater engineering, and natural resource assessments, we are able to offer more comprehensive support to our clients than the many other laboratories which simply perform tests and report data. Many of our clients rely on ERL to interpret data rather than just report it, to identify problems and recommend remedial actions, to discuss conditions with regulatory personnel, and when appropriate, to negotiate on their behalf.
